Nikki Haley recently said how life was so easy back then...we can get there again if we vote them out blah blah blah or something like that.

I remember needing my husband's signature for a credit card.

I don't want to do "back then" again.

Let's make sure it doesn't happen.

@Skepticat I remember being a teacher, and having to buy a car in my husband’s name, because I “didn’t have enough credit.” I made the house payment and paid utilities.

Private institutions have no obligation to lend you money if you don't have a record of paying it back.

@royaljim @Skepticat I forgot, I had purchased a motorcycle years before, and the house was supposedly in both our names. Texas was bizarre back then. 1994.
