New video! I'm taking a first look at the newly created Foenix F256K computer. Link: https://youtu.be/57FuA8YuXn0
@janbeta I have to say this is one of the cutest machine I've ever seen. Looking forward to the follow-up video. Too bad I can't dump $600 right now into a toy computer. :(
@emil @janbeta You can also consider the F256 Jr, which is a compatible mini-ITX board. It doesn't have the OPL-3 and you have to supply your own SID's (or clones). But it's a more palatable $200. Of course it's not quite as cute, but can still look great with a 3D printed community designed case. I'm having loads of fun with mine 😄
@luskebux @janbeta I wouldn't be able to love another computer in a box (unless it's pizza box with a dedicated keyboard;), the wedge design and colors speak to me.
@emil @janbeta I completely understand! The F256K is just lovely, and having used the Jr I'm very tempted to "upgrade"myself

@janbeta that's really cool Jan :) great video too!

If anyone wants to play with the IDE: https://c256foenix.com/development-tools/?v=79cba1185463

@janbeta this is a cool machine, thanks for the test :)

butbut…but

why no sid-socket(s) in this? would have been perfect

@janbeta did you have another version for the test? this one https://c256foenix.com/f256k/?v=3a52f3c22ed6 has the sockets. hmmmm
@janbeta Reminds me a bit of an old ORIC home computer...
