1: Peer review. A man crammed uncomfortably into a tiny submarine with lots and lots of ugly safety equipment. Probably alive right now.
2: I did my own research. A man sitting comfortably in the Titan, also a tiny submarine, fancy looking, mostly empty, no safety equipment to be seen anywhere, a game controller in his hands. Current status: very dead after having been significantly reduced in volume by water squishing him from all directions.

@GreenSkyOverMe @kingu It's kinda tricky to tell because of the headlamp and the light halo from the open hatch make his hair look different. I'm mostly going by it looks "plausibly like him" and the context that he "is *the* celebrity submersible guy who's spent a *lot* of time underwater and is famously still alive."

You're right, alt text would be especially useful here. 😌

@kingu I still can't believe that they simply screwed those monitor holders into the hull. It's probably just an insulation layer or whatever, but still looks sketchy as hell
