Putin has approved Russia’s plan to blow up the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant

This would expose over 2 million square kilometers to nuclear contamination

…including Europe, Asia and Russia

If any of this contamination hits a NATO country it will be considered an act of war

It’s time to deal with Russia as what it is: A terrorist state.

@flexghost I agree with your take, and would love to learn more. Is there anything new re: plans leaked? Where can I read more?
Russia asks IAEA to ensure Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant security

Russia urged the International Atomic Energy Agency on Friday to ensure Ukraine does not shell the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant, saying it was otherwise operating safely.

@grumpasaurus @natik is there a side that is rarely in good faith? Wondering if you know

@flexghost @grumpasaurus yeah, calls for help, invitations to investigate, and other garden variety obvious gaslighting attempts are in their regular playbook. Sometimes I winder how the fuck didn’t they figure out it doesn’t work that well.

Or perhaps we’re just not the target audience, and the Russian tactic is perfectly adequate to gaslight Russians on state TV. Sad, either way.

@natik Russian language in Telegram same way I got all of my recent posts re mini coup

@flexghost CW: TMI
I grew up in Moscow. Putin was their president for more than a half of my life (1988).

I remember 2012-2014 — the years when Medvedev pushed for "nanotechnology" and other weird gimmicks, and they tried to “build their own silicon valley". I remember how hopeful folks around me were — hell, me, too.

I've volunteering on numerous elections, only to go to Manezhnaya square after every one of them to protest and chant for fair elections, and get locked up for a few hours. ;(

@natik you’re a hero in my book. That could easily have been more than a few hours for protesting
@flexghost at some point, when they killed Nemtsov, my immigration lawyer called me and very politely asked to please, PLEASE not get caught, because administrative jail time is still jail time, and is frowned upon. That was awkward.
@flexghost
The little man was just humiliated and now he thinks he has to act tough before his circle gives him the heave-ho for being so weak. Enjoy the summer, little Putini. See you next fall.
@flexghost It will. I remember Chyrnobyl. The winds carried the radiation around the world.
@flexghost While I don't exactly trust the intel chiefs of any country, if true, this means I've been right about a couple of things I really, really didn't want to be right about. For years, I've argued that the West's policy of militarily encircling Russia while expanding NATO eastward, risked escalating tensions with Putin and possibly even triggering a world war. I argued that Putin was a dangerous megalomaniac, and that "poking the bear" was gravely ill-advised, because Putin wouldn't be above resorting to nuclear options. I was laughed at and mocked.

It's almost worth rejoining the hellsite to track down those who called me a "Kremlin stooge" for urging restraint and diplomacy.

@flexghost

So, not so sure that Republicans killing off Social Security is my #1 problem.....

@BillMcGuire @flexghost Republicans constantly use or create crisis to slip other horrible things under the radar.
