So it seems the 'wage-price' spiral may not be a complete figment of political rhetoric; its just that its not #publicsector or the #lowpaid who are the one's receiving #inflation inducing pay rises... no, its the top 1% of earners who are actually the one's getting pay rises above inflation.

It makes further mockery of the notion that striking #NHS #workers & others are the greedy causes of inflation.

Blaming workers for this inflation is not analysis its #classwar

Union fury as figures show pay rises among top earners driving inflation

The best paid have had the highest wage hikes, but the majority of the workforce has seen salary growth fall, according to ONS data

And of course it is those top earners that are likely to be the beneficiaries of high interest rates, since they are likely to be net lenders - whereas the low paid are likely to be net borrowers.

It's so obvious that the UK economy is being run entirely for the benefit of the top 10% - unfortunately so is the UK media...

@GeofCox

yes its government by the rich for the rich

@ChrisMayLA6
There's something a little off with very rich people telling the country that we must cut inflation by making things more expensive for companies as much as mortgage owners while increasing the spending power of very rich people.
