We’re at the “first they came for the transgender people, but I wasn’t transgender so…” stage of fascism.

Believe me, there have already been canaries in the coal mine that been checked off Fascists’ lists (POC, those with disabilities, assorted other Useless Eaters). They’re ticking down the list, and your whiteness or wealth will not protect you. Fight now.

@mckra1g
Call me radical but they first came for BIPOC and many in our community remained silent.
Kids in cages, police brutality, Black trans women die at an entirely more horrible rate than the rest of us... 1/
@mckra1g This aren't new things.
Black people has been legislated against for centuries. People's reproductive rights were taken away and many chose to be silent. First nations' (indigenous and/or Indian cultures, many identify differently) sacred grounds were taken by oil ducts, many said nothing.
They spoke ill of immigration, revealing their xenophobia, many remained sielnt.
The white supremacists make anti-semitic remarks, silence...

@mckra1g The reality of it is that we are at the "Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me." stage.

We must keep fighting, but we (aas a community and as individuals) need to introspect. /3
