Nikki Haley recently said how life was so easy back then...we can get there again if we vote them out blah blah blah or something like that.
I remember needing my husband's signature for a credit card.
I don't want to do "back then" again.
Let's make sure it doesn't happen.
@Skepticat even as the husband who would have to sign, and thus my wife would be more a slave if I wanted, I knowenough how it really was to not want to go back. Sure I could have a slave, but computers cost millions of dollars, and used tens of thousands dollars of electric per month (prices not inflation adjusted). Things were simpler, but that is because there were so few nice things to have at any price.
Then again, as I told my girlfriend (now wife) I'm not looking for a slave.
