This rebellion in Russia by the Wagner group is the most serious military insurrection since the coup against Gorbachev in 1991. It’s alarming and could be the beginning of the end for Putin. Prigozhin and his mercenary army have already taken 2 cities and say they’re on their way to Moscow. And while I’d love to see the ouster of Putin, it would be considerably worse to have Russia run by mercenaries.
