The following film has "adult situations"? So, they're gonna, like, get acid reflux and try to set up direct deposit?
@westly more things we have to protect the children from
@westly And spend days trying to find long term care and residence for their parents.
@SonofaGeorge @westly there will be at least a 15 minute segment about how come Joe Namath can get what he deserves and the rest of us can’t!

@westly

Insomnia and bouts of CRS (Can't Remember Sh*t)

@FosseLeo @westly I have those all of the time. In fact, I have to keep written notes to myself for things I don't do quite often enough to bring them into long term memory.

@ablackcatstail @westly

I do keep notes. It is a small irony that I run a trivia contest and I write the questions myself. Lots of stuff is daisy fresh in my brain, but I am also acutely aware there are things I knew that I can't access any more.

I was a JEOPARDY! champ back in the 1980s, but obviously, that day is done.

@westly
2 hours on the phone trying to straighten out the cable bill
A fart gone wrong
Ear hairs
Their first AARP mail....
@Okanogen @westly and don’t forget the burial plot mailers!
@westly also groaning when sitting down or standing up

@westly they will surely pull a back muscle or two
@westly Talk about the traffic and the weather and how the kids don't want to work anymore.
@westly Nah, more like piles, a bad back, and sciatica.
@westly "this film was banned in several countries for accurately depicting what it's like to spend a day dealing with the department of motor vehicles"
@westly Just a solid hour of filling in tax forms.
@westly heck, it's a horror movie
@westly Ever have your children scream "I don't wanna to go to the dentist!", and you know they don't really need to go the dentist, but you have money in your HSA account that has to be spent before the end of the year??

@westly I always like the ones that explain the rating is due to "contains ... and language".

Oh good, one of those new movies where they talk!

@Retreival9096 @westly I saw one the other day that said it had “themes”. For real, that was one of the things listed.
@whybird @westly Yeah, you really have to watch out for stories with "themes". You are likely to have to write a language arts paper on them.
@Retreival9096 @westly thankfully this one wasn’t listed as having any ”language”, so I was kept safe from language arts ;)

@westly pay taxes, be crushed by a job, come home miserable, and sink into a deep depressiom.
@westly You yell at the screen, "Don't go in the basement!!!"... because it's flooded. And they stored their collection down there against their wife's warnings because she can't tell them what to do. But their MIL had donated it all to the church anyway because it's just kid stuff and they've grown out of it anyway, right?

@westly "Goddamn sink is clogged again."

"You deal with it. My back still hurts from the other day."

@westly post of the day right there 🏆
@westly laying on the couch for 3 days after pulling a back muscle.
@westly @jerry and be always tired and worried about their kids future and need to keep working for health insurance benefits and to pay for exorbitant car insurance that is mostly made up of premiums to pay for lawyers and medical costs because these things are in desperate need of regulation?
@westly Maybe tax prep paperwork, as a treat.
@westly I’m personally wistful for my own teenage situations.

@westly

So they are walking to a room and have no idea why they went there in the first place?

@westly

Maybe they are looking for their glasses while wearing them.

@westly something about you seems familiar, Roberts.
@westly “mostly dead” perhaps?
@westly I'm in this post and I don't like it. 😑
@westly I see ten gripping minutes depicting the challenge of getting out of bed, complete with a soundtrack of the pops and creaks.
@westly There's a loud grunt every time a character gets up from a sitting position. Then a complaint like "that couch is really comfortable, but it sits too low."
@westly There's probably a scene where someone is filling in their tax return.
@westly Hot Mortgage Lenders want you to talk to you about a refinance Now!!
@westly imagine my let down when I learned "adult entertainment" was just porn and not complex philosophy about the mundane
@westly a full movie of people doing their taxes oh yes
@westly Possibly arguing with insurance about coverage. Maybe even paying taxes.
@westly they buy a newspaper and discard the cartoons???
@westly or, since one prominent things adults do is having and raising kids, this just makes it a family movie.
@westly I always think of it more like, "oh, so this is an XXX film", same reaction when I see "adult school" signs.
@westly They're going to hurt their backs in their sleep and repeat the same five small-talk-phrases for two hours

@westly I like it when the warnings say it contains, "sex, violence and language".

Can't be having with things that have language in them. No sir.

@westly this wasn't even funny....that hurts. Ok, a bit funny.
@westly I had a "senior moment" myself. I thought about cutting class and going down to the beach with my steady...
