Childish, meron! Joke!

Used to regularly take a peek at /r/childfree years back, pero di ko na rin kinaya yung tone nila dun. There's only enough ways to say "being childfree is a choice!" "It's a sin to make another soul undergo torment in this world!" or other stuff.

I get it, it's difficult to live a childfree life, especially when surrounded by the conservative, religious-minded. I get the need to rant about it, pero susmiyo… Like, uh, parang ang hirap mag-tambay dun nang matagal.

I remember months ago someone posted sa r/ph asking if may childfree people ba doon and their reasons why they chose to be so tapos ang daming nagreply. Napaisip lang ako kung andito din sila.

I was exposed to it and /r/antinatalism quite early on in my Reddit carreer. While I am sympathetic to their cause, I feel that the overall mood over at those subs are just a bit too much.

I suppose as more and more people find their way over here, a childfree community would arise here as well. I hope they won't have as much toxicity as their Reddit counterparts.

Ako din. While karamihan sa friends and family members ko child-free, they're not in the same boat as the typical card-carrying child-free that are just as annoying and toxic as those who keep on pestering singles/couples when they're getting kids.

Tapos napanood ko pa yung kumakalat na vid about gen-Zs, and I just facepalmed hard on how cliche the answers were. Tbf, the "survey" was done in bad faith because why would you be asking inexperienced kids about parenting? Lmao.

My speculation: I think the creator, Charlie Brooker, intentionally made this show worse because they don't own this shoe anymore. They made a nod in S06E05 by introducing a new label, "Red Mirror," that focuses horror-themed stories.

Me and the wife have been huge fans ever since nasa BBC pa siya. While the tone shifted drastically with the move to Netflix, I can sorta see why they nearly pivoted away from it completely this season by going absurdist and meta-humor. There's only so much you can do with "technology is bad" and being known for twists e.

It wasn't aired on BBC. Black Mirror was first aired on Channel 4, counterpart ng BBC. Black Mirror is the reason I gained knowledge of Dogme 95 (typically an ultra-guerilla style of filmmakimg) from S01E01.

Channel 4 pala sorry, haha. Basta around 2010-13 we were binging British shows hard. Nagsimula sa Sherlock, napunta sa Happy Valley, The Fades, Utopia, The Shadow Line, and so on.

Black Mirror is also what got me into looking for similar shows, to no avail. People always recommend anthology shows, but it's a different type of anthology. There's nothing quite like it. It did get me into Jam, which was a series I never would have come across.

Yo... I fully agree with you this season has been meh. Episode 6 nalang hindi ko napapanood.

Lumang theme naman na kasi yung episode 1. Social media bad, internet bad. Rehashed over and over again every season.

Wala na yung moral dillema na nagpapa self reflect sa viewer. It's more on shock and awe now for the sake of it.

What's with these Pinoy mobile ads promoting gambling? I recently playing Hill Climb Racing 2 on my smartphone and these Coin Master and TongIts Go whatever popped during gameplay, and I never turned on my Google's personalized ads settings.

It's been awhile since I fully disconnected to a VPN tunnel, and I thought chocolate ads from EU and mobile plan ads and skin card from JP and SG were shit. May mas malala pa pala... haha.

Yup. Buried underneath most of the "ReTiReMeNt PlAn nG mAgUlAnG" circle jerk is the sad reality that retirement homes are not a thing here, and that it costs upwards to 1 million annually per person (looking at RainTree at least).

Money talks talaga. Nag ojt ako dati sa nursing home and even the basic necessities hindi nainibigay ng maayos. Yung ibang mga nagtatrabaho dun, pinagttripan pa nila yung mga matatanda kaya ang ending nag aagitate yung mga elderly.

I'm proud of the fact that we only have 700 subscribers but the community is in the top 5 of most comments. Yung iba nasa 2-3k members but could barely muster half of that.

Lagpas dalawang linggo na pala ang community na ito dito.

I've been checking Lemmy almost ever since the weekend just before the blackouts, replacing Reddit as my addiction (of sorts). I've also managed to subscribe to a good number of communities, such that my feed is now quite healthy with content. I almost never get the urge to browse Reddit anymore, not even with all the mention of it in my feed.
