Wagner Group has trekked from Rostov, all the way to Voronezh, and taken control of the military facilities there. For context, Voronezh is halfway between Rostov and Moscow, and this was accomplished in under a day.

This would be huge, but also very worrying. Russia can fuck out of Ukraine, but it's not gonna get anymore stable or peaceful when Prigozin of all people takes over the government

Idk much about Wagner group, but I thought they were hired mercenaries? Why would a mercenary leader want to take over government? If anything I'd think they'd install their own puppets for government - which is probably just as bad if not worse.

They were just mercenaries on paper to do the Kremlin's dirty work while giving "plausible" deniability. This would be akin the the Roman Generals of old who reasonably could gather their troops to overthrow whomever was in power.

Russia DID want to be the third Rome afterall.
