TomSo, like, are lemmy.world logins completely broken for everybody at this point? Only the PW recovery method works for me. Also have to refresh modlog page for it to show content. #lemmy #lemmyworld
Pixl@drdabbles I think servers are taking a hit. It went from like 100k to a million users in a week.
@Pixlbabble yeah, the weird thing is the password reset works instantly, but login just spins the button. No request makes it back to the server, and I can repro it with a private instance in containers. Just weird behavior in lemmy-ui

@Pixlbabble Hmm. Can you see the user profile if you go to /u/{{username}} ? Ive seen notes about names longer than 20 chars being dropped silently and profiles not being created properly.
@drdabbles I can see my profile. I forgot my pw and it fails to send an email to reset.
@Pixlbabble oh wow. That's got to be something strange in the UI or an aggressive spam filter somewhere. Maybe the server mod is on mastodon and you can reach them here? 🤷♂️
@drdabbles I dunno, I think it started to happened when there was a ton of posts about telling people to purge bots from the servers. I tried different browsers. I made multiple accounts on different servers. But I wanted Pron one account while everything else is on their own.
