As the time goes on, #BRICS does not seem to be an alliance that would last long.
@timothy_colangelo how do you mean? Their collective interests don't line up or what? I feel like it's more about banding together to strengthen the Chinese yuan as an alternative to the US dollar for backing up a country's currency.
@Henry_David_Throwed not really: they are planning on a common currency for transactions, but each of their economies can not support it.

Why Russia is Trying to Create a New BRICS Currency

@timothy_colangelo dude nice that was great ty. What do you think of the relationship between putin and Xi? Can two authoritarian cults of personality align their interests and work together effectively? The whole China- russia partnership, is it really a threat that could remain cohesive enough to rival the alliance of the west?
@Henry_David_Throwed well, the thing is: China can survive without Russia but Russia will struggle to survive once China will chew it and spit it out. Putin is a madman, Xi is more methodical, he does not make any decision which is not well thought out. The China-Russia axis will not stand for long, they both have the same endgame, but only one country can acheive it and the other one will not accept it as a failure.
@timothy_colangelo I feel the same, putin lost the reins years ago and only holds the pretense of power, the shadow of russias influence in the 60s. He revealed this thru his wild decision to invade. Xi sees this, knows this and will leverage his position to use russia for what he can, optics, resources etc while keeping his distance. He has already yanked the chain on the russian dog once or twice.
