Boulder Report!
This week I made it to the gym five times (Sunday, Tuesday-Friday) and once again FLASHED every new yellow tag (V0-V1) problem. I now use them as a warm up!
I was also able to send a new orange tag (V1-V3) in one session, after five attempts! Does this mean it's soft? Probably, but I'm still proud of myself. My beta involves two heel hooks and a knee bar and feels AWESOME.
A very well intentioned and completely lovely person tried to hype me as I was climbing yesterday, and folks, I almost died from the attention. I really can't handle being a) perceived on the wall or b) praised in any way.
HOWEVER I also had a very fun conversation with another person about technique and style and approaches to progress. They had been climbing for a year and had great advice.
So I'm definitely up for feedback and conversation when I'm off the wall.
Rock climbing is a social sport and I struggle with that, but I'm confident over time I'll get more comfortable participating...
