Would you use SimpleX Chat app for cloud file storage?

We implemented XFTP protocol (https://simplex.chat/blog/20230301-simplex-file-transfer-protocol.html) for sending files in SimpleX Chat app - it protects metadata better than even Tahoe-LAFS.

I was thinking if you would use it for file storage if it were available, and how much would you pay for it?

Which storage size would you use?

Also, please add to the comments what features would be important and what price you would pay, if anything.

SimpleX File Transfer Protocol - a new protocol for sending large files efficiently, privately and securely.

@simplex I don't think it's crucial, but even if don't go so high in numbers. Element allows 100mb attachments and its already an overkill in comparison with messenger or discord. 2gb it's pointless let alone 1tb xD
@rzeczyspisane this is not about the attachment sizes - the app already supports sending files up to 1gb, but they are only available to receive for 48 hours. These numbers are storage quotas, an equivalent of google drive or Dropbox, but private and secure - based on the same XFTP protocol that we currently use to send the files.
@simplex too much tech talk. Didn't understand a word. Still best wishes for your project
