Pennsylvania’s minimum wage has been $7.25 since 2009, which is ridiculous. Republicans have stood in the way of attempted raises for years.

Thanks, PA Democrats, for finally passing this with your new Democratic majority. Now we need some Republicans in the Senate to hear from voters about passing it there and we flip that, too, next round.

Pennsylvania’s Democratic-controlled House of Representatives approved a measure that would raise the minimum wage to $15 by 2026 in a close vote Tuesday, a long-held party campaign plank that has run up against Republican legislative majorities for years.

@TonyStark If it is not indexed with inflation to be raised automatically annually this will only lead to more fights later. Every state needs to index min wage to inflation.
