@caseyliss okay I happen to have a few days in NYC and am willing to make it to John’s of Bleecker St.

My wife and I don’t eat meat, what do you recommend? Straight cheese pizza? Anything else?

(Also is 278 Bleecker St. the correct address?)

@matt Yeah, 278.

I’d definitely recommend just cheese, but I presume a shitload of veggies would be good too.

Just remember: full pies only.

Also, you are *required* to tell me what you think when you leave. :)

John's of Bleecker St. - Greenwich Village, New York, NY

John's of Bleecker Street was founded by Italian immigrant Giovanni John Sasso at the turn oaf the 20th century. John's was originally established on Sullivan Street, in the heart ...

@caseyliss oh, I forgot! We made it to John’s and had a lovely time. ~10 min wait on a Wednesday around 20:00, then seated inside at a shared table.

The cheese pizza was fantastic, and we also had a salad. We had a nice chat with the guy next to us who offered us a slice of his too!

Big thanks for the recommendation 😁🍕

@matt @caseyliss is cheese pizza a New York thing? The only time I (former UK resident, now California resident) would consider ordering it if I was ordering for kids who didn’t like anything else. (Not trying to be rude, genuinely curious)
@colen @caseyliss nope, cheese pizza is found at any American pizza spot I’ve been to. If you’re ordering a few pizzas for a group, you always get some cheese only.
@matt @caseyliss wow, totally different from my experience, interesting
