ashpole@matthewcassinelli Old fart’s view: Reddit is just a glorified bulletin board that I used in the ‘70s. Can’t we dump them and move elsewhere 🤷♂️ Probably being a bit silver simplistic!
Serenus@ashpole Really no reason it can’t be done outside of worries about splitting the community/user base. I’ve heard of one or two other communities swapping to either Lemmy/kbin or a traditional forum, and I’ve made the switch on a personal level.
