I'd spun a little headcanon around this and I think he's probably a priest in a desert settlement somewhere; he's always been there and even the oldest residents of the town know nobody else on his post. Walking around naked and aroused all the time, rubber glistening in the sun, occasionally demanding human sacrifices from the population. They comply, because even though they are somewhat skeptical of the rubberized jackal holding such an important post, he seems to give the settlement good vibes with both the pharaoh and a good harvest when the river floods the plains, so what's a young man to satisfy his urges now and then...
