A time dial displayed in the dashboard is quite an old idea, but could it work with charging?

When you plug in, you usually know how long you'll be (the car tells you, after all) so why not make it clear to everyone?

LeasePlan are giving these away with their EV leases. I rather like the idea!

@tillathenun I think it's a good simple idea too. If someone has one in the window then you know they're probably a bit more thoughtful about others as well.
@tillathenun It's a good idea. It would be nice if more chargers told you how long it would take to get to 80%.
@tillathenun good idea! The #needtocharge app is potentially helpful too (though I must admit nobody had ever contacted me through it - but then I don't use public chargers that much)
@alstonvicar I keep meaning to use it and make a video!
@tillathenun in 2015 or so I printed two hangers that fit the charging cable wall side. The other said I need the charge, please don't unplug. The other was I'm only topping up, feel free to unplug. And my phone number on both. Then plugged in to the only charger in the whole parking garage for the workday. Cable locking and other fancy features weren't a thing yet. Still have them in the boot of the LEAF, I think.
@tillathenun EVA Scotland have been using a display card for some time with a indirect contact number to to let the person charging know that someone is waiting. I made my own a while back that lets people know when I will be coming back.
