What happens when we report someone? - Lemmy.world

What happens when we report someone via the “Show Report Dialog” shown in the post? Does the report go only to the community mod or does it also go to the instance admin? I ask because I reported an obvious troll and I find it weird that he is still not banned.

I'll add to this.. I got back on my computer and it said "report created" or something.. some poor dude probably got reported from my bumping my mouse or something. I checked and have no idea who got the unlucky click, and there seems to be no log anywhere.. haha woops. Sorry rando

Happened to me a couple of times, no dialog to confirm, just report created.

Aah, I see. I didn't feel like clicking the report button to see what happens just in case it had no confirmation and couldn't be bothered reading up. Thanks for the info
