Reddit Migration Directory: Subreddit Replacements

@mastodonmigration @dangillmor Why would a community register both a Lemmy and a Kbin site? It seems most have registered both. If I understand correctly, if a community sets up on e.g., Lemmy, Kbin users will be able to access it via federation (or vis versa), correct? Using both dilutes the discussion. 🤨
@com @dangillmor Yes. That's right. Currently federation is not working perfectly for all instances, but once the growing pains are resolved, there should only need to be one magazine/community on a subject. That is, unless a moderator wants to start another. There is no reason that you can't have two or more, just like Forbes, Business Week and Fortune magazines all cover business.
