In WW 2, millions of women, called "Rosies," supported the forces. Often overlooked are "Black Rosies," 600,000 Black women who joined various industries. Racism, sexism, & other obstacles hindered them. Despite these adversities, they made significant contributions to the war effort. Given the challenges, these remarkable women are some of the most significant figures of the 20th century. They have earned their place in history.

#January6th the unyielding #patriotism and #loyalty of #BlackAmericans to the #UnitedStates is on display everywhere, yet society and the media insist on framing conversations about patriotism around #traitors .

And this is real every day
#apolitical loyalty to "country" because often times it's just the right thing to do.

At the same time, as we fight domestically for
#equality we're fighting for a better #America for everyone.

Again, because
#equality for everyone is just the right thing to do.

#America has to make a choice to fight #facism and #intolerance once and for all.
@Calixthe I agree. And I want you to that Black Americans have always been pragmatic, patient, and patriotic because they intrinsically realize that should things go horribly wrong, they will be the first to suffer.
