IPV4 are the standard 192.168.0.1 ip addresses you may be used to. That numbering scheme supports over 4 billion addresses, which is not enough.
IPV6 uses longer addresses, like 2001:0db8:85a3:0000:0000:8a2e:0370:7334 . Which is not nearly as convenient, but allows for 340 trillion trillion trillion addresses, which might be enough, possilby.
