Hopefully this defuses the "lemmy is a tankie network" rumour once and for all
I mean, as a US citizen who travels often, when you're outside the US and looking in you'll note that lots of people are "weirdly anti US".
US citizens have such a deeply entrenched US-centric view of the world that it feels weird when others don't share the same perspective. I don't know enough to say if their perspective makes them "tankies" or not, but I know they're far from the only people who have different perspectives on the US that I don't fully understand. I'm not going to immediately judge them for that.
