I see newsmedia going "people may be boycotting now, but it is hard for people to sustain it in the long run" and I will have you know I have been happily boycotting Nestlé and Coca Cola since I was 14.
I mean, it will be made easier by how #Armani is not all it’s cracked up to be, Fujifilm is out of date, #dominospizza is a bit shit, #delonghi is suboptimal, as is #ColgatePalmolive there are a lot of alternatives to #ecco etc. I will definitely be closing my @hsbc_uk account.
#hiltonhotel is not the only place to stay, thankfully, nor is #hyatthotels. @kleenex (under Kimberly-Clark) is going to hurt a little next time I am ill, but thankfully there are a lot of good alternatives these days.
#FischerSports could have had my custom (as I started skiing again during the pandemic) but have now forfeited it, likewise #Geox. I am VERY good at boycotting sportswear chains because it gives me an excuse not to sport.
Boycotting #kraftheinz is going to require some attention, as quite a lot of their stuff makes it into my cupboards, but I am relishing the challenge (pun fully intended). #lacoste on the other hand is a very easy one.
I will say #Mondelez-Nabisco would be harder to boycott if I was not banned from chocolate for migraine reasons, but I believe I would have made the effort even so (I have mostly abstained from After Eight for 26 years, so…).
And #nestle is already on my list (I am shocked, shocked, I say that they are once again choosing evil). @Patreon is a new one, though, and I am deleting my account and finding new ways to support people.
I am a little heartbroken that #tupperware is choosing evil, as I was raised to think highly of them, but I am shelving my vague plans to get more of their stuff.
