That sort of structure is a kind of survival shelter. I don't think thats what they were going for though.

Looks more like they needed a tent for a stock photo or something and all they had was the hotel's bed sheet.

Going camping, let's see. Bed sheet, check. Three leather-bound books to tastefully place in a messy stack, check. Two 19th century vintage box cameras, check. I'm sure there'll be a branch somewhere around there we can use for shelter.
