@eberhofer I agree! This Christian Nationalism has been thrust upon a primarily evangelical crowd. Not only is it inconsistent with my personal faith, it was virtually unheard of 30 years ago.

I grew up in a very conservative Southern, pentecostal evangelical family. They were focused (too much, imo) on the afterlife and having faith that God would meet their needs.

This is the opposite of seizing power by force and making people obey your worldview. IMO, this is another ascpect of a few billionaire's plan to gain power. They have astroturfed this to look grassroots, just like the Tea Party & Brexit was.

@eberhofer There was one small thing that I witnessed, combined with January 6, that convinced me we had crossed the Rubicon.

On this random residential street in Tennessee I saw a Christian flag. You might be surprised that there is even such a thing, but I was not. I even grew up saying the pledge to the Christian flag.

Sounds weird, right?

In the 80's and 90's, unless you were on a Christian Identity militia compound, there was a 0% chance they would have the Christian flag ABOVE the USA flag.

Not only is that against the flag code, but it would've been considered unpatriotic and extreme.

There are several versions of the pledge. Of course we did the more militant version.

"I pledge allegiance to the Christian flag, and to the Saviour for whose Kingdom it stands; one Saviour, crucified, risen, and coming again with life and liberty to all who believe."

I'm assuming that they've added a line about AR-15's in there now. #Evangelical #TVAC

@eberhofer @SrRochardBunson yeah, people are acting like trump being indicted means everything will be fine now. I am running out of self control for these idiots, same people who laughed when trump was first nominated & thought he would never win, thought everything thing was over when he lost. When will these “super intelligent, superior Dem liberal types” learn?
