Toots is the traditional word, but the developers don't like it anymore...

They have seen enough "Doctor Doom toots as he pleases!" memes to last several lifetimes and they wanted to sound more professional. The "Publish" button used to say "Toot!" and many servers have changed it back to keep the fun feeling alive.

I would offer to help explain other concepts but I need to get to bed as I'll be getting up for work in about 6½ hours, however there are some good guides around (though not many among the popular press - I think one got it mostly right in November but I forget which one).
