Browsing Local by New is 10x more interesting than browsing by Active

As the title states, more variety, and lots of new posts are getting basically ignored, even some highish effort ones.

Can our instance admin set the default to sort by new and not active? 🥺

doubt it, but users can set their default sort type from active to new in the settings
