A fun failure mode of the Hatch Rest+ Gen 2 is that it will stop playing white noise and instead start producing a high pitched buzzing noise that will eventually fade to a demonic roar before eventually producing sporadic static.

Eventually, the battery dies and you can reset it.

It's happened twice now while my child was sleeping and I'm not particularly happy about it.
