“This #Pride Month, never forget that Klingons had #trans rights

No hostility, no confusion, no clumsy excuse-filled justification, just a quick self-correction and the exact same amount of love and respect before and after.
Cis allies: Be like Kor.”

@humanisttrek This is why my daughter is named Koralie, for the great Dahar Master.
@humanisttrek
Kor is the Klingon we masculines need to be.
@dasfrottier people learn and grow. I hope people don’t judge me on who I was decades ago, but who I have become.
@humanisttrek This made me so happy this morning. 😁
@humanisttrek I do my best. I've had three friends come out to me as trans, all three I was one of their 'first' people (after their spouses) to know. I still love them. But yeah be like Kir
@Silverlion I can’t speak for all trans people ofc, but I think most of us are generally patient and understanding as long as people are making the effort to get names and pronouns correct. It’s the ones that refuse or lean on the “this is new for me” as an excuse to not try at all that we want to blow out an airlock. 🙃
@humanisttrek @Silverlion this I can usually tell when folks slip up vs doing it on purpose with the intent to trigger and upset. I only care about the later.
@humanisttrek Yeah. One of the things I appreciate is their/your patience. Really trying even means I correct myself when I catch it and they'd never know I slipped, it's just who I am at heart.
@humanisttrek This moment always resonated very strongly to me, and when my egg cracked, I kinda finally understood exactly why.
@humanisttrek Glory to Kor <bulges eyes> and his house!
@humanisttrek Kor was the best. Drunk on blood wine, reunited with his best friend. Dude couldn't have been happier
