Gerben@Granite @fediverse how did you do this? Did you just follow the group in mastodon and posted a message to it? I’d try myself but don’t want to pollute a group with my experimenting. Replying from mastodon.
@itsgerben You can just address the group. @groupname@servername basically. It'll be a top level post. You can copy and paste a URL of a thread into your mastodon search to reply to it. Ditto for a single message. Favouriting a post give it an upvote.

@itsgerben You're right. I can't explain it. You seem to be the only one. There are things that can interfere with federated messages. This person talked about authorized fetch needs to be turned off for example.
