[NEWM-Atha] Hyprland is cool, but have you tried Newm ? - sh.itjust.works

Newm is a wayland compositor in the style of paperwm. It’s designed to be more touchpad centric and better for laptop. The original github is unmaintained but there is a fork here [https://sr.ht/~atha/newm-atha/] It’s really worth a try.
