Hope this isn't the case as I just switched to Gandi for email in October and renewed domains up to 2031 🙃. I don't see any official announcements and haven't received an email from Gandi like some people are mentioning, hoping it doesn't affect me or is misinformation. Otherwise this will be the year I dive into self-hosting email

This does appear to be moving forward. Their email service will cost an unspecified amount. Time to start investigating alternatives, can't trust the new owners of gandi.

Migrated away from Gandi, both mail and DNS registrar services, and had my account deleted. What a pain, but hopefully now I am set for a good long time and won't have any rugs pulled out from under me.

I swear I found an official looking gandi fediverse account recently that I would tag, but can't find it now, it's not linked to from their webpage, so whatever. Smell ya later #gandi

Good choice with #migadu, I have some other mail hosted by them and I'm very satisfied. Will check out porkbun. So can you edit DNS records with them? Some time ago I had a registrar that didn't offer that (only with cPanel, if you also bought shared hosting).

@cosmin thanks yeah really nice to have unlimited domains and mailboxes with migadu. With porkbun yes you can edit DNS records, you just have to transfer the domain to them and pay a one year renewal, which adds on to the amount of time you already have the domain for.

@conky New management seems... unreliable. I'd start checking for options.
