@amszmidt can't say I agree, as booting without proprietary software is like what, a single boot flag?
it even does it automatically whenever your hardware doesn't need it. (e.g you're using only components that work with FOSS software/firmware)
The netinstaller images don't include proprietary software either as far as I could tell.
@Rush it has little to do with booting and everything with including non free software in main. That is a fact, and little to disagree on. Debian is no longer even close to β100% freeβ as the claimed before and even took great (and sometimes illogical steps, e.g. GNU GFDL documentation) to try and achieve the goal in some level.

The higher resolution I have is here: https://www.peppercarrot.com/0_sources/0ther/misc/hi-res/2023-06-11_Bookworm_by-David-Revoy.jpg (it was a sketch on a digital sketchbook, quickly colored so I haven't thought of making it high resolution from scratch). Sources are here https://www.peppercarrot.com/en/viewer/misc-src__2023-06-11_Bookworm_by-David-Revoy.html , but I kept only the layer with the base sketch; I merged all the layers of the coloring because I put 10 of them with textures on the top and it was making a big filesize.

Bhante Subharo βΈ@davidrevoy I set up a Debian 12 LXQT VM, to see how delightfully boring and bug free the experience would be. As long as I didn't choose the main package mirror of deb.debian.org - which was in the middle of getting a serious pounding - then the install was perfect.
Tip: if the installer hangs accessing a bogged down pkg server, hit CTRL+ALT+F2, then at the prompt, determine the PID of the wget process with "ps", then "kill [that_pid]". Return to the GUI installer: CTRL+ALT+F7.
