Thurston County Auditor’s Office Won’t Knock On Your Door | Thurston County

The Thurston County Auditor’s Office is aware of a new effort of door-to-door canvassing by a voter research project. These canvasses are not associated with the Thurston County Auditor’s Office. Reports indicate the canvassers are wearing name tags that say: "Voter Verification Project - Election Volunteer.” The Thurston County Auditor’s Office Elections division does not go door-to-door to gather voter information.

“Thurston Voter Research Project” Results Analysis | Thurston County

A group calling themselves the Thurston Voting Research project (TCVP) canvassed 1,491 households in Thurston County asking questions about how long they lived there and if they voted. The TVRP is not associated with the Thurston County Auditor’s Office. Their stated purpose was to assess the accuracy of our voter rolls and identify any anomalies.

Sad to see people aligned with election deniers using door to door tactics that can intimidate voters especially military voters who often appear on this groups “verification” lists. The group is really a Voter “Intimidating” Group.
