When people say things like

*Just be yourself*
*You're okay the way you are*

...they usually don't expect my autism showing up like

~me obsessing over a minor detail
~freaking out over a change of plans
~talking excessively about my SI
~getting a migraine from heavy perfume, too bright light or auditory overwhelm
~not bearing to see a living soul
~having a meltdown bc of severely disrupted routines

You can be a little strange. But not *this* strange.
