Trump's hardcore supporters perceive the "system" has left most of them behind and in a state of "anomie" or "rulelessness." This is why people that see the world as a place without rules support a ruler that says he has to break a lot of rules to bring back the rule of law. This is, of course, illogical but desperate people often perform acts of illogical desperation.
