US law holds "when accused of a crime an attorney will be provided if you cannot afford one."

Trump may force a change to, "an attorney will be provided if you cannot afford one OR if you are so unethical no one will take your case."

I mean, yeah, you could take the case with the idea that it's not going to directly make you any money on the hope that the increased visibility it gives your firm (and ability to charge others based on that increased visibility), but that's mostly a worthwhile business strategy only if the case is successful and/or you attract more clients than you potentially alienate.
