I wonder if its worth playing the first. I've started it a couple of times but never got far. Couldn't even say why.

I had no idea what I was doing half the time while playing.

Like: "Wow, a mountain road! And now we're being attacked by a random chimera. Cool!"

I’m just starting to play the first one on Switch. It was like $4.99 and it feels so good so far.
Im thinking about playing it too, but I’m not sure if I want to play it on my switch or Xbox.

Genuinely loved the first game, despite the original version being intentionally difficult. Brought it twice on the PS3 dirt cheap (original & expanded editions) & on the PS4 also cheap.

It's a weird, sprawling game that gives you little direction & loves to challenge you (especially the DLC area) but has a lot of heart & randomness to keep you engaged. A very unique game despite it's frustrations, so looking forward to this sequel (though will have to upgrade to a PS5 for it).
