@ishabazz I see why the app asks but can't get past apps that ask to upload my entire list of contacts and then presumably hold onto that info forever so when someone with a matching email signs up the app can say 'oh hey look, some of your friends are already here’.

@todd @ishabazz I’m surprised Apple hasn’t given us a privacy first contacts picker for this use case. It could avoid a permission prompt and let you select specific contacts or even fields you’re happy to share.

@adam @ishabazz I guess they figure privacy is not sharing any of your contacts at all. If you just shared names that wouldn't be enough. They'd need an email address or phone number at minimum.
