I'm not actually a United fan so I don't know what Sabitzer's loan situation is. But I do watch a lot of them and Eriksen is definitely on his last legs. I think he becomes a bench player next season.
My take on their center midfield targets is that Mount is a good player and would be good for them but he still doesn't solve their problem of progressive carries and tight possession. They need a De Jong type player and Mount definitely isn't that. But the midfield is very weak so he's an upgrade on what they have at least

Makes sense that he would be starting ahead of the rest if Eriksen isn't doing too hot anymore and they don't bring in another midfield option that fits better.
