I lived in Germany from 1985 to 1997. Many of my friends grand-/parents were eyewitnesses to the atrocities of WWII and I spoke with everyone who would talk about it with me. I heard something like this from many of them - but they were talking about ignoring the Nazis during the period before Hitler actually came to power. Just like some people on the Left are saying we should just ignore Trump/MAGA now in the hopes that they'll all just "go away."

Fazit:
Fighting them in a time you don’t get murdered for it by the government is much more desirable then fighting them later.
So now is the time.

The main point that greatly angers me is that this guy ignores those Germans who resisted fascism and were murdered for it.
He cannot even admit his mistake…
