Say, if you were a member of their party (NSDAP) you had access to more and better food, coal for heating and cooking, better flats and houses due to the expropriation of Jews, better jobs and so forth. But even without being a member, they profited from Nazi policy, employment and materially-wise.

Ugh. As someone who has had to clean both gas and electric stoves, you can keep gas. Too many crevices for burnt-on sauces.
