A few other thoughts about the #Starfield demo video:

1. LOLOLOL they're actually bringing back Adoring Fan?! Now placing my bets on how fast players jettison him out the nearest airlock. XD

2. Relatedly, I saw somebody in the comments in Ars Technica's article on this waiting to see which NPC is going to talk about getting a blaster to the knee. ;D

Bethesda’s “Starfield Direct” shows off a massive, galactic-scale space RPG

A deep dive on "over 1,000 planets" worth of trademark open world exploration.

3. There were multiple bits of fighting in that video where the player character had on a booster pack, and was dealing attacks to NPCs from above. Which raises a bit of concern for me as to whether I could handle that; see previous commentary re: Overwatch making me motion sick if I watch Dara play it for too long.

Starfield's wealth of planets will apparently feature a lot of different amounts of gravity, and some environments will be zero-g. So I'll have to see what players say about this when it releases. I'd hate to put down the money for this thing only to find out I can't actually play it because it makes me motion sick!
