Doubt it, none of the other reports are the same https://www.redditstatus.com/history Also if it was automated then the monitoring service would likely notice earlier than that.

Interesting, hopefully that's the case instead of something more... stupid from Reddit. I sincerely hope this is just the community protesting in some way.
