I got a new camera and went away for the weekend. I was walking around because my mom suggested I take a picture of the sunset. As I was walking closer to get a better view, I heard something... It sounded like a rodent, and I knew there were groundhogs nearby, so I followed it. Turns out, it was a young porcupine! #CanonR7 with 24-105 f4, turned out to be more like 168mm with the cropped sensor, so that's still pretty close. #porcupine #photography #wildlifephotgraphy

Also note that image was straight from the camera to my phone, so I didn't crop it. I'll go through a bunch I took on my laptop so I can pick the best and crop it accordingly.
I hadn't used an APS-C camera in many years, but so far I like this one. Especially where I was able to get closer, and use the animal tracking mode. It did pretty well. Although I mostly bought the camera for the video abilities (6 hours maximum, and in-body stabilization).
