Red-necked stints winter in New Zealand, Australia and Asia and migrate to Alaska, but it is quite unusual for them to travel as far inland as Fairbanks.

@IdahoLark That was a remarkable story of a girl finding a wayward bird. I'm glad there was such an enthusiastic group of birders to help verify her identification of the bird!
