Do liberals understand that by enforcing the rule of law in the face of overt, confessed-to federal crimes, they are destroying norms we don’t care about and unleashing a retaliatory abuse of the system that we were planning to do if we felt like it anyway?

@Popehat mos of this telegraphing is directed at "independents", people, who might not like what GOP is doing, but are worried about liberals and leftists because they are seen as a threat. Nothing more, nothing less. They don't have to believe what they are saying. They are a cult. They will fall in line if needed to, no questions asked. Laws are against them? Laws are unjust, deep state, ecetera. Laws are helping us? We are lawful, everyone else is anarchist.
Goals are important.

@Popehat trying to even engage with what they are saying is just playing their game.
For them, end goal justify all means. That's what fascism is in nutshell. Every tool is valid. Justice, rule of law means absolutely nothing. Just a nuance to get over with with time.

@peteriskrisjanis The Donald was a Democrat in the early 2000s. Maybe he still is, a sleeper to get the GOP to unmask themselves. There is no longer any doubt as to what they stand for!
And surely no-one is such a perfect example of cartoon villain and village idiot.
